Challenge of La Francophonie

The Challenge of la Francophonie is a competition open to every golf club member of the AFGolf.

The qualifying competitions are organised by the clubs and the winners of each category are invited to play the final round organised by the AFGolf.

For this 2024 edition, the AFGOLF and Panathlon Wallonie-Bruxelles have decided to highlight fair play and the positive values conveyed by sport, in order to promote good behaviour.

Since 2003, Panathlon Wallonie-Bruxelles has been pursuing a single and unique objective: to give sport back its most beautiful colours by spreading and promoting its finest values – Fair Play, respect, solidarity, fraternity and friendship – mainly among the younger generations.

You too can promote Fair Play by behaving in a positive and respectful manner!

Program

Qualifications :

Any AFGolf member club may organise a qualifying competition. This competition must take place no later than 1 August 2024. The conditions for entering the competition (closing date, entry fees, etc.) are set by the club.

Final round:

The final will take place on Friday 23 August 2024 at Golf de L’Empereur. Each qualifier will play the final in the category of their handicap of the day. The categories are as follows:

• Ladies/Gents Category 1: Hcp 0 to 18.4
• Ladies/Gents Category 2: Hcp 18.5 to 36

REGISTRATION, starting times & results

Qualifications :

Registration, tee times and results will be handled by your club.

Clubs will notify the AFGolf of their qualifying dates by 15 February 2024 at the latest.

Final round :

The registration for the final round of the 4 participants from each club (the 1st in each category) must be confirmed by the club secretariat to the AFGolf by 1 August 2024 at the latest.

Amateur Championship AFGolf Paragolf

Program

The 6th AFGolf / Golf Vlaanderen Paragolf Amateur Championship will take place at Koksijde Golf ter Hille on Saturday 8 June 2024 and will determine the Paragolf Champion!

This edition will bring together players from both AFGolf and Golf Vlaanderen, each playing for their region.

The competition will be played over 18 holes for the following categories, by region:
– Category 1: Amateurs 0 to 18 handicap (single stableford)
– Category 2: 18.1 to 36 handicap (single stableford)

The competition is played over 9 holes for :
– Category 3: Handicaps over 36.1 (single stableford).

One gross prize for the first two categories will be awarded per region. Two net prizes will be awarded for each category (Champion and Runner up) per region.
